FanDuel Group is a US gambling company that offers sportsbook, daily fantasy sports, horse racing, and online casino. They got started as a fantasy football company and later expanded to sportsbetting.

FanDuel was founded in 2009 as a daily fantasy sports provider, and mainly competed with DraftKings. In May 2018, in the middle of widening legalization of sports betting in the United States, FanDuel agreed to merge with the US operations of Irish bookmaker Paddy Power Betfair (now Flutter Entertainment) to form FanDuel Group. The acquisition sought to leverage the company's existing brand recognition and user base, with FanDuel becoming the company's main US brand.

The founders are Nigel Eccles, Lesley Eccles, Tom Griffiths, Rob Jones and Chris Stafford.

Fun fact, FanDuel and Draftkings were going to merge in 2017 but the merger was blocked by the Federal Trade Commission because it would constitute a monopoly.

FanDuel Group has some sort of presence across all 50 states with approximately 17 million customers and nearly 30 retail locations. The company is based in New York with offices in California, New Jersey, Florida, Oregon, Georgia, Portugal, Romania and Scotland.

Its network FanDuel TV and FanDuel+ are broadly distributed on linear cable television and through its relationships with leading direct-to-consumer OTT platforms.

FanDuel Group is a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment plc, the world's largest sports betting and gaming operator with a portfolio of globally recognized brands and a constituent of the FTSE 100 index of the London Stock Exchange.
